July 23

Got a lot of wind yesterday and again today will have to wait and see what it looks like tomorrow. The salmon have been really hard to find lately with only a couple bites per trip if your lucky. On the other hand the lake trout fishing has been phenomenal the trout are on big side with many between 10-16 lbs. I really think the salmon are not far away and we should see some big fish very soon only time will tell.

July 15

Cold and windy today with rain, this should really stir things up. Usually when this happens it takes a day or two to settle things back down. Had a big box Sunday afternoon as we fished Lake trout on a midday trip. New this year is the Catch and Cook program which these customers enjoyed at a local restaurant. I will prepare the fish for your meal, all you do is show up with a bag of fish. I had the opportunity to try this out and it is a great deal. This is a must try after your trip on the water.

Update

Its been a very busy start to July with us fishing nearly everyday. I have been updating my Facebook page more frequently, so head over there and like. The first part of the month was exciting with lots of steelhead action offshore. The fishing then turned to closer for kings with some very impressive catches. Then it was a mix bag of kings and trout and it seemed the kings started to leave and it was almost all trout with very king bites. It looks like the trout fishing will continue to be strong until the kings show up in full force again. Meatrigs have dominated the king bite with flies being close second. July is here!

July is finally here and the fishing continues to be good. The lake trout kings are around, the salmon are in the 2-10 lb range with very much bigger than that. They seem to be very early biting and very late biting with not much in between. My buddy could not get 5 rods set this morning and after 30 minutes it was over, he only had 3 bites the next 4 hours. We had lots of wind yesterday from the SW then today its from the NW hopefully they stick around.

June fishing

The fishing continues to be good here, lots of salmon are around in the 2-10 lb range. They have been biting on spoons primarily and something orange has been the ticket. Somedays they bite all day long others its first and last thing only. I sure hope they stick around for awhile, if you are planning on taking a trip and have not called yet time is running out with limited spots available.

2014

The season is off and running. The fishing is very good in the shallow water for trout. There was a report of a few kings around but I have been chasing browns and lake trout. Give me a call my book is filling up for July and August.

Season 2013 over

Well I pulled my boat today cause its off to my other job. The last few days the fishing was good with coho and big kings around. There still is plenty of fish out there I would expect the fishing to be good for the next couple weeks. Today the wind is blowing from the north and it feels like fall, the fish should be around the harbor. Thank you to all my customers for a great season, if you have dates in mind for next year call me as almost all of my August weekends are already booked.
